We were incredibly lucky to have family visit us over the holidays! First to visit were my aunts, Suzanne and Kelli! They were vacationing in London and came out to spend the weekend with us in Suffolk. We were excited to have a reason to get out and do some exploring, and we found some amazing spots! We took them to Framlingham, an adorable little village with picturesque streets to walk, a charming little church, and beautiful castle ruins (the castle Ed Sheeran sings about in Castle on a Hill)! Then to the enchanting Leiston Abbey ruins, and finally to Orford Castle where Suzanne thought it was funny to hide in dark places and scare the crap out of me. But friends. On the way to Orford we drove through the town of SNAPE. We had so much fun reading all the signs as if they were spoken TO Professor Snape, but the highlight of Snape was really this WICKED, WICKED skate park in the woods. You have to believe me when I tell you it was the COOLEST THING. Like a skate park for Ewoks! The jumps were made of dirt, covered in astro-turf for protection. We swore we’d be back to play one day but sadly, we didn’t make it. Something to go back for! Plus, we’ve got to take our neighbor friends who teased me relentlessly for how excited I got when I told them about it 😉 I’m hoping that after seeing these pictures they’ll come crawling back, begging for forgiveness.
